-01/26/02-----I stripped all the sound dedening material from the
floorboards and the transmission hump for the sake of saving weight.
The trash can was half filled from all the material and was
aproximately 60lbs.  It takes a hot heat gun and a whole crap-load of
elbow grease.  Also notice the aluminum diamond-plate floormat I
made on the passenger side, the drivers side should be done shortly.

-02/16/02-----I painted the interior with truck bed liner.  This added 5
lbs (while it was wet, weighed it while in the paint tray) back to the
weight, but is worth it since it improves the look of the car back to be
usable.  The pictures below illustrate the interior before and after
painting.  Also as a side note, the floormats weighed in at a whopping
3 lbs each!
-02/24/02-----finished the driver's side diamond plate aluminum floor
mat.  The driver's side mat was by far more complicated to fabricate
than the passenger's side.  This is because I made the "dead pedal" as
part of the mat.  the dead pedal is made from a separate piece of
diamond plate and was then MIG welded to the main section of the
floor mat and then ground and polished.
